The Container
- No corrosion or holes on any side
- Door mechanism and seals in good condition
- No visible moisture on the inside
- The container floor is dry
The Cargo
- No visible moisture on the cargo or the packaging
- The packaging is as per design and in good order
The Loading Operation
- Packaging and cargo have been stored in dry conditions
- No wet or snowy pallets, wheels, boots
It is important that the container floor has a moisture content of 10%-15% maxIt is recommended that stuffers check floors with a moisture meter and clear instructions regarding container condition should be given to container depot supplier.
The Cargo Stuffing
- The cargo is stuffed, with minimum distance between pallets
- The cargo is securely stowed in such a way that it will not move or crush the Absorpoles
The Moisture Protection
- The number of Absorpoles to be used is as per design
- The Absorpoles are hung in different places around the Container
- The absorption area of the Absorpoles is largely exposed to the air, with at least a few cm of free air in front
- The double pin in the Absorpoles are pushed all the way through and clicked in place
- The hooks on the Absorpoles are pulled all the way down and clicked into place
Note; with dry cargo it is recommended that the vents be closed (duct tape or similar). Wet cargoes leave vents open.
